Vinted Members Share Anger Regarding Sizing Updates
Vinted users have been reacting angrily after an update resulted in items being listed as the wrong size.
The popular resale platform has revised its measurement guidelines for women's and children's garments failing to inform all shoppers about the modification.

Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
It has advised users to examine their items and update the measurements by hand if necessary, causing user dissatisfaction.
Size Classification Changes
Earlier, the sizing featured a single numeric size and a letter, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features an alphabetical indicator and numerical range such as S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.
Member Accounts
One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
A different member, based in Glasgow, explained products she uploaded with size 14 tags were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she said.
Manual Updates
Charlotte Lunn, located in England, stated she felt frustrated by the change as she had to manually change the sizing for "all her products".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount for me since losing part of my income," she said.
Platform Context
The app has more than 100 million users, including 18 million in the UK.
It has proved a popular alternative compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: previously, Vinted reversed a change concerning shipment methods due to shopper criticism.
